Cookie Notice
Effective
Cohort is a product of Collective Matrix, Inc. This notice explains the limited cookies and browser storage used by Cohort.
Session cookie
Cohort uses a host-only session cookie to authenticate users, maintain security, and preserve necessary session state. It is HTTP-only, uses SameSite=Lax, is restricted to the host that set it, and expires no later than 14 days after it is set. Secure transport restrictions apply in production and staging. Blocking it prevents authenticated Cohort features from working.
Remembered login
Cohort contains an optional remembered-login capability that may write a separate HTTP-only browser token if that option is offered and selected. The current sign-in experience may not offer or use that capability, and it is not required for an ordinary session.
Theme preference
When you choose a light or dark appearance, Cohort stores that choice as
theme in your browser's local storage. The choice stays on that
browser until you change it or clear site data and is not used to track you.
No advertising or cross-site tracking storage
Cohort does not currently place browser advertising cookies, cross-site analytics cookies, or session-replay storage, and it does not load external browser tracking scripts. Because current storage is strictly necessary for a requested service or records an explicit appearance choice rather than tracking behavior, Cohort does not currently display a cookie-consent banner.
Your controls
Browser controls can remove or block cookies and site storage. Clearing Cohort storage signs you out and resets the saved theme. Your browser's help materials explain how to manage these controls. We will update this notice and, where required, request consent before introducing optional tracking storage.
